On Sunday 25th May, airfield La Zappaglia (in the town of Calvisano, near Brescia, Italy) hosted a small general aviation meeting named AirFest 2025.<\/p>\n

I’ll start from the end: as the event drew to an end, 2 Wolf W-11 Boredom Fighter (forming the Boredom Fighter Team) and a Cessna L-19 belonging to Historical Aircraft Group Italy performed the Giacomo Taglietti Memorial, in memoriam of an ultralight aviation pioneer who flew from this airfield (and father of one of the pilots of Boredom Fighter Team).

This Agusta-Bell AB.206 Jet Ranger was the heaviest aircraft on site. As I noticed the pilots performing the pre-flight checks, I asked them the takeoff direction to avoid taking backlit pictures. To allow me to take pictures, they performed a low pass along the runway!

Ela Eclipse REVO autogyro. Almost all modern autogyros have a rotor pre-rotation system to shorten takeoff distance. This model can also change rotor blades incidence to further shorten the takeoff run, achieving quasi-helicopter performances!
