Historical Aircraft Group FlyParty 2025

Ninth time I attend the yearly meeting of Historical Aircraft Group, held on 28th and 29th June on Dominio di Bagnoli airfield in Bagnoli di Sopra, near Padua. 2nd airshow in 3 days in the midst of an intense heatwave!
The only downside of this airshow weekend? A punctured tire while returning home…

Maurizio Costa flying Pitts Special

Team Charlie TwentySix flying 2 MB Avio C26 ultralights

Fox 2! Luckily, the missile contained flares only!

Formation with 3 F8 Falco, general aviation plane designed by Stelio Frati, which this year celebrates 70 years since its first flight

Technically I can say I took a photo of a F14, F8 and F15 in formation. However, they were not fighters but an F14 Nibbio, 2 F8 Falco and an F15 Picchio, all designed by Stelio Frati.

Piaggio P.166

Slepcev Storch, ultralight replica of the famous WW2 German STOL plane

Grand finale with the Jonathan Collection WW1 replicas. Manfred von Richtofen’s Fokker Dr.I simulated the interception of the Caproni Ca.3, which was escorted by Francesco Baracca’s SPAD XIII. Obviously, this never happened in real life, but it is a cool “what-if” scenario!

Some interesting planes on static display only:
